    Bonsoir, Pierre! I was just 8 years old on June 6, 1944. But I remember it. One of my aunts, recently deceased, by name of Hannah, was engaged and madly in love with a young man who was serving in the U.S. Navy and was aboard one of the ships in the convoy. His ship was hit and he was killed. Hannah was beside herself with grief. She later married another fine man and raised a wonderful family but I don't think she ever forgot her first love!

    These photos serve as an excellent tribute to all of those who served at the time of the invasion. Merci beaucoup!

    Après des analyses sérieuse le sable d'Omaha contient un pourcentage de limaille de fer provenant des obus tomber pendant la guerre.

    Bonjour, Pierre! Did you ever see the movie, "Saving Private Ryan"? That was excellent, I thought. And I've read many books relating to D-Day. Amazing event. And so sad that it was necessary!
